Mesquite S.W.A.T. and Nevada Department of Investigations (NDI) executed a search warrant at the Virgin River Hotel which resulted in the arrest of five adults and two juveniles early Sunday morning.
Undercover officers from NDI received information on possible drug activity in two rooms of building three at the Virgin River. After several hours of surveillance officers determined that there was in fact drug activity taking place and requested a search warrant be issued. At approximately 1:00 a.m. S.W.A.T. and NDI officers served the knock and announce search warrant and arrested all suspects associated with both rooms without incident.
Arrested was Courtney Colburn, 31, of Mesquite, Travis McBride, 37, of Enoch, Utah, Michael Yellowitz, 42, of Enoch, Utah, Juan Romero, 19, of Mesquite, and Michelle Leach, 22, of Mesquite. The names of the two juveniles will not be released due to their age.
The adult suspects were taken into custody and are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, Allowed a Child to be Present Involving a Controlled Substance, Possession of Hypodermic Device, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Furnishing Liquor to a Minor, and contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
The juveniles were charged with Possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Curfew.
Officers also recovered a handgun that was actually a realistic looking pellet gun.
