Fitness Classes 2011

The Mesquite Recreation and Parks Department is offering two fitness classes held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The new session begins April 4, 2011. The first class taught by Allan Litman, fitness professional is his Spinning class held at 7:45 a.m. Each class is limited to fourteen (14) participants.

Spinning is a group experience on specially designed stationary bicycles - unlike any other. The intensity of the workout is regulated by the amount of resistance you apply to the flywheel of the Spin bicycle. Although Spinning has a group exercise format and is set to music, participants have the freedom to make their workout as challenging as they want. “Everyone is encouraged to ride at their own pace and enjoy the journey”, said professional instructor Allan Litman. This class is held at the Mesquite Deuce Suite 10, 150 N. Yucca St.

The second class taught by Litman is his Total Body Workout class also held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. No two classes are the same, but each class will incorporate weight resistance exercises, body weight training, and resistance bands to increase muscle strength and endurance which can decrease the risk of injury. This class will help improve your strength and endurance while you gain better balance and coordination. This Class is held at the Mesquite Deuce Suite 5.
