Mesquite Means Business Workshop #3Monday, May 03, 2010 Free marketing workshop for local businesses on May 10 A Mesquite Means Business marketing workshop will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m., on Monday, May 10. The workshop, free and open to the public, will be held at Fire Station #3 on John Deere Drive in the Mesquite Technology and Commerce Center. Meg McDaniels, Senior Manager Regional Sales Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, will present an overview of the marketing plan for Mesquite followed by a group discussion based on Adam Brandenburger's book "Co-opetition," a revolutionary mindset that combines competition with cooperation. This is the third in a series of quarterly workshops sponsored by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mesquite Office of Economic Development as a service to help local businesses. "We will discuss local research tools available, how Mesquite is marketed and the power of collaborative efforts in marketing," said Bryan Dangerfield, economic development director. "Now more than ever is the time to collaborate with your local business neighbors and get creative," said DeAnn Ballard, Chamber of Commerce executive director, "It is the time to change the way you look at your competitors, suppliers and colleagues."
