Nevada Joining ForcesTuesday, June 02, 2009 Monday June 1, 2009 Nevada “Joining Forces” Enforcement Campaigns in May Mesquite, NV - Mesquite police have completed the “Joining Forces” traffic grant for May. Mesquite officers joined with officers from Henderson, Boulder City and North Las Vegas Police Departments, for enforcement events focused on seat belt violations. As previously noted, Sergeant Rob Stepp emphasized the "Joining Forces" participants are committed to both educating the public and enforcing the traffic laws simultaneously. During the May events, Mesquite officers traveled to Boulder City, North Las Vegas and Alamo, Nevada to assist with saturation patrols. On Saturday, (May 30) Officers from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and Boulder City Police Department came to Mesquite and assisted the Mesquite Police Department with a “Click it or Ticket” event. Chief Douglas Law said the program, which includes funding of overtime from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, will continue as long as grant funds are available. |
