Online Golf Tournaments at the Mesquite Recreation Center

A new software upgrade to the Full Swing Golf Simulator at the Mesquite Recreation Center will allow users to play tournaments online. The new feature was announced today by Rich Bohne, Mesquite Recreation and Parks director.

"The simulator upgrade is unbelievable," said Bohne, "Users can now play in a host of online tournaments that are sponsored by Full Swing Golf and played by simulator users across the world."

According to Bohne, participants are from Japan, Dubai, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, and others. Once signed in and all users need to do is push a button and they in the tournament with the possibility of seeing their name posted on the leaderboard somewhere. The computer updates the leaderboard after every hole and the score is recorded automatically.

"It's a lot of fun, and brings a real competitive spirit to the game. It's even more fun when you play the event with a friend or two," added Bohne.

To register as an online tournament player, go to www.fullswinggolftour.com and register to play. A username and password will be provided in order to play on the simulator, choose the tournament play in and the computer keeps online handicap automatically, allowing the participants to track progress.

The new upgraded simulator also has a new practice module that allows lets users set their target at any distance, and also allows for practice putting and chipping. There are 37 courses just for fun, without the tournament format.
