Pets are vulnerable to Coyotes if left outsideThursday, September 02, 2010 A recent Coyote attack on a dog has prompted a warning to local pet owners by Mesquite Animal Control Officer Joe Macias. Macias said pets are safer when neighborhoods are unattractive to predators. This is accomplished by not leaving pet food outside, not allowing pets to roam freely and by keeping trash secured in outside containers. If a Coyote or other wildlife is spotted in a neighborhood, Macias says Animal Control should be notified by calling (702) 346-5268. |
