The City of Mesquite Recreation & Parks Department’s & Major League Baseball will host a free event “The Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition” for the local youth Boys & Girls.
The Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skill competition of Major League Baseball, This grass roots program is designed to provide the youth with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. Boys and girls ages 7-14 the opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills. Participants have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships hosted at Major League ballparks, and the 2010 PHR National Finals hosted during MLB All-Star Week in Anaheim, CA.
The event will be May 12, 2010 (Thursday) at 6:30 P.M. at Pioneer Park Complex Field # 1 & # 2.
